About Dan

Dan Sloan is a multi-award-winning filmmaker based between London and Liverpool.

Working over narrative, music videos and commercials, Dan injects his unique vision into every project he becomes involved with.

His 2021 short “Swallow Your Dreams”, starring Paul McGann and Amy Bailey, was selected for the BIFA-qualifying MANIFF and received press from the BBC and Film Stories magazine. It also received awards for best film, directing, acting and editing.

He recently completed a documentary called “Made It” about the arbitrary notion of “success” as experienced by a group of actors during a workshop, and is in pre-production on his new short “Good Behaviour” about memory and guilt set in a prison. This will star Antonio Aakeel (“Slow Horses”, “Eaten By Lions”), Paul McGann (again) and Stephen Walters (“Anne”, “Outlander”).

He also hopes to make a feature film version of this next year.

Dan is a BAFTA Connect member.
